Skullgirls is the ironing-out of all the issues that led up to this point… and there were plenty. Now that the earth’s cooled, we can finally enjoy this retooling of Skullgirls, with its new characters, new story lines and a list of patch notes about as long as my arm. Skullgirls is being a fighting game, a number of these adjustments are the kind of mini scule tweaks that normal human beings would never notice, but make a huge difference to the frame-counting psychos that form this title’s user base.

since this is Skullgirls, and everything has to conform to the cinematic film-noir aesthetic, his biotic bits are all musical instruments. From within that trenchcoat he can summon triangles, horns, drums, clarinets. the entire Lawrence Welk bit, really. Skullgirls  just got a new massive update that includes a bunch of new story-lines and gameplay content. There’s a new origin story for Filia, in which you’ll learn how she went from blonde to brunette. As fascinating as that sounds.
